There’s nothing quite so disturbing as watching a grown human being slowly recognizing that the world they wished they live in, is not the world they actually live in.
Part of me wants to believe that Larry Lessig is smarter than he comes across in this piece, but that part of me then read this:
[America] needs sane gun laws that keep machine guns away from the sorts who would massacre school children.
What a fantastic idea, Larry. Remind me, again, when was the last time machine guns were used to massacre anyone, much less precious, defenseless “school children“? If you could just name one incident where this happened, that would be fantastic. But you can’t. Because they haven’t been. You’d think a lawyer would understand that semantics matter, but you’d apparently be wrong.
